Wow, it just seems like I blogged the 10th anaversary yesterday. Each year I love my wife more and more and I cant believe it's now 11 years. It's great that we are still like newlyweds every day. You can't get a better relationship than that.

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT! The border guard needs "Stupid" tattooed on his forehead. How dumb do you have to be to let someone with a bloody chainsaw into the country? Does this guy not watch CSI? Come on folks.
Never underestimate the power of idiots in numbers. What's even better is FBI: Murders, other violent crimes down. It's no wonder they are down when you're looking the other way!

This is a good read for star wars fans... I have my own set of questions but this is an excellent start. Like everything else, lucas has a lot of susplaining to do!

I had purchased this with the full intent of using the new Rhapsody to go service. After a firmware upgrade and a driver and software upgrade on the PC I was ready to Rock with Rhapsody to go. Being a Rhapsody customer (www.listen.com)for the last year I was excited to see that I could download rhapsody content to my new Creative ZEN (which was purchased just because of it's capabilities to do so) and take rhapsody everywhere.
This was just a complete mess for the first week. After an upgrade by Rhapsody because of huge customer complaints, things seem to be working much better. I'm apprehensive though that this is truly solved. DRM (Digital Rights Management) seems to be the major issue. The product also doesn't seem to handle syncing properly but I have 30 days worth of music (I hope) on the device before I have to re-load it if the sync really doesn't work.
The Zen is a really nice product. Like the iPod it has a touch screen which frankly I think is more trendy than functional. The touchpad is very intermittent regardless of the sensitivity setting you set. It's probably a variable capacitance pad just like the touchpads for your laptop. I hate those as well. I would love it if the buttons were just regular buttons.
The "Glowing" buttons and border on the device (esp when charging) are a neat flashy feature I think is quite amusing. The device also allows you to sync contacts and calendar items from outlook however the support is extremely limited in that you cant sync more than one PC (sucks for work/home people sharing contacts on two PC's) and it also doesn't support which fields to display for the contacts so you end up missing out on some of the contact names because they don't have a first/last name (i.e. companies).
Speed is good with the device, seems to transfer to and from well. Good volume, burn your ears out if you want.
I also picked up a Belkin TuneCast for use in the car. Not real happy with it. While it works getting a clear station is kind of tough. Works well enough I can play music in the car without burning to a CD.
Overall, it's a nice setup if your a music junkie.

Separated at birth

News Flash!!! After many years Adam Sandler and Rob Thomas are now reunited after being separated at birth as twins!
Seriously, I think it is extremely freaky that these too look so much alike. I seriously don't know which is worse, Rob Thomas acting or Adam Sandler singing. Well, after hearing Sandler sing in 8 Crazy Nights I figure it must be Rob Thomas doing the acting. Sorry Sandler, you just can't sing worth a damn. You are funny as hell though!

Car TV Ads
Here I thought I had no inspiration tonight and yet I cant seem to shutup.
While I see the need to advertise why is it that car companies cant manage to put together some sort of entertaining TV Ad. Come on... What ever happened to the great Joe Isuzu ads? There was some humor in there. Mitsubishi has people thinking that you can listen to dance music and actually dance in their car. I have to at least give them there is snazzy tunes in the ads. The rest don't seem to appeal to anything.
Here is a free tip. How about showing me "Doc Brown" in his Delorian saying "At 88 miles per hour you're going to see some serious shit" and actually have these cars do something amazing!

Duck and cover!
Has the government not learned yet that scare tacticts don't work to help americans learn. What a load of fun. Read this http://www.geocities.com/thefirethread/index.html Thanks to Mark Vorpagel for the fun!
Take your kids to work day?
What sort of sick joke is this. Take your kid to work day? First off, let your kids go play. They will have to put up with enough crap soon enough. Keep them in school and let them learn. Taking them to work is like taking bad kids to prison. Scare them away?
Please, while it's nice to show your kids where you work it's way more important to get them to learn. On top of it I really dont want a bunch of kids running around the office. Putting up with their parents is trouble enough!

Listen to what?
I'm sure I'm not the only person out there to use Music for inspiration for my work. I use it as a motivator and it allows me to work much more productively.
Don't you hate it when you need the inspiration though and don't have a clue on what to listen to? This drives me nuts. I need something other than songs that I know like a Christmas carol. Something new yet motivational. While rhapsody has radio, it's hit or miss. Finding new music consumables is tough to find when you need them to make a profound impact to you.
Moods like this are often frustrating.

Craftmatic Adjustable Bed
If the time ever comes that I need to have a bed like a hospital bed I probably belong there then in my house in some bed. They advertise these silly things on TV all the time which makes me wonder how they can be so affordable with all the commercials on TV. More junk most people don’t need.
